DEXA Scanning

Bone Mineral Density (DEXA) Scanning at Dar El Ashaa.
At Dar El Ashaa, we offer advanced Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scanning, the gold standard for evaluating bone health, measuring bone mineral density (BMD), and assessing fracture risk.

Technology / Equipment

A DEXA scan is a highly accurate, non-invasive imaging test that uses low-dose X-ray beams at two different energy levels to measure the mineral content in key regions of your skeleton—most commonly the lower spine, hips, and forearm.

Key Benefits & Features:

▪️︎Completely Non-Invasive & Painless: The procedure involves no injections, surgical entry, or discomfort. You simply lie comfortably on a padded table while a scanner arm passes overhead without touching you.

▪️︎Low Radiation Exposure: DEXA scans emit a fraction of the radiation of a standard chest X-ray, making them safe and efficient.

▪️︎Quick & Convenient: The entire test takes only 10 to 25 minutes to complete, requiring no downtime.
